Kerala Green Gram Dry

Ingredients


Green Gram-1 cup Small onion-10 or Onion -1 small chopped Crushed chilli flakes-2 tsp Curry leaves-2 string Garlic-1-2 Coconut Oil-3 tbsp Coconut grated-3 tbsp Green Chilli-2 Salt- Water-1 -1 1/4 cup

Method

Soak green gram over night ..Wash well …Cook for 2 whistle in medium flame by adding water and salt..Crush onion-chilli flakes and garlic ..Heat oil in a kadai ..Add crushed mix along with green chilli slits and curry leaves ..Saute till the raw smell goes ..Then add coconut and mix well and saute for 1 minutes ..Then add cooked gram and mash with the back of the spoon ..Mix well..Check the taste and adjust ..Cook for few minutes till we get a thick consistency ..Finally sprinkle coconut oil and curry leaves ..Close for 10 minutes and then serve ..Our tasty cherupayar kuthikachiyathu is ready to serve..
